Calling all leaders: Be a part of the RYM CORE Team!

Are you interested in mentoring high school and confirmation students?

Do you enjoy working with teens?

Are you looking for a way to support the youth ministry program but aren’t quite sure how to do it?

Do you feel like you don’t have enough training to participate?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then you may already be a very strong candidate to serve as a leader in our ministry program! Our 2012-2013 season is only a about a month away from kicking off and we’re looking to interview new candidates for our CORE Planning Team. This CORE team meets once a month and helps plan RYM activities and events together. We provide training resources so that we constantly develop our leaders into even better mentors.

If you are:

  • A junior or senior in high school
  • A parent of a teen
  • A young adult parishioner that enjoys working with teens
  • An adult parishioner who enjoys the youth and doesn’t quite know how to get involved

our ministry may be the perfect opportunity for you to serve your parish while developing your leadership skills AND learning more about your faith. There are a variety of roles that are essential to our ministry. Some require interaction with youth and teens, while many other roles can be done at home in front of a computer or on the telephone or via email.

I encourage you to pray about it, to see if you are being called to our dynamic and challenging ministry. If you feel the slightest calling, please contact our office at (408) 490-0575 or email us at youth@resparish.org to setup a meeting with the program director, Jonathan Luu, to see how best we can help support each other.
Remember: a youth ministry does NOT mean only youth are involved. That would be like saying a homeless shelter only has homeless people involved at the shelter.

I hope to hear from you!
